Category A: Training Services
YDD is seeking proposals from experienced training providers to deliver comprehensive training services and a suite of courses in the areas of Financial Literacy, Positive Youth Development, and Youth Protection. We are committed to equipping our City’s youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a positive impact on their lives and promote their financial well-being. Creating a youth-centric knowledge base, developing a comprehensive financial literacy curriculum and a facilitation handbook will serve as a useful repository of data that can better prepare youth on the benefits of personal financing. We are inviting proposals from training providers to offer the following services:
- Financial Literacy Training
- Positive Youth Development Training
- Youth Protection Training
- Civic and Leadership Development
Category B: Program Evaluation
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) with experience in performing comprehensive formative and summative program evaluations for youth-focused programs, services, and policies. Vendor services will be conducted utilizing the latest industry standards and best practices in the field. These services will assist YDD in evaluating youth programming based on measures that include, but are not limited to:
- Efficiency: identifying process improvements and making recommendations to improve program implementation, program utilization, and service delivery.
- Effectiveness: measuring the changes or results (outcomes) that can be attributed to a program's activities, such as changes in knowledge, attitudes, behavior, or policy.
- Impact: assessing the immediate, mid-, and/or long-term effects of a program or service on its participants and the broader community.
- Cost-effectiveness: assisting by comparing the cost of a program to its outcomes or benefits to determine its estimated value for money (return on investment).
Category C: Community Outreach and Engagement
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) who will assist with the planning and execution of Departmental events, which aim to provide resources, support, and information to young Angelenos and their families. The consultant(s) will work closely with YDD staff and a Planning Committee, composed of City staff and community stakeholders, to ensure the event is well-organized, successfully executed, and measurably impactful. The scope of work will consist of the following responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment and Goal-Setting
- Event Planning and Logistics
- Exhibitor Recruitment
Category D: Marketing
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) with demonstrated experience in performing various types of marketing, advertising, social media tasks, and other marketing services to advance inclusivity in YDD’s programs and other department functions. Vendors qualified for this category may be called to provide services to any YDD program. Vendors seeking qualification for this category must have experience and be able to demonstrate projects in strategic communications including professional writing services, developing content, media relations, social media strategy, branding, and advertising.
Category E: Video and Content Production
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) with experience in filming, editing, and producing video content. A Video Producer plays a pivotal role in the creation and execution of video content for various platforms and purposes. This position requires a combination of creative, technical, and project management skills to produce and edit high-quality videos that meet the department’s objectives. Vendors qualified for this category may be called to provide services to any YDD program.
Category F: Graphics and Website Design
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) with experience in Graphics and Website Design. Vendors qualified for this category may be called to provide services to any YDD program.
Category G: Social Media
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) with experience in social media. Vendors qualified for this category may be called to provide services to any YDD program. A Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the department’s social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage with the target audience, and drive traffic and conversions. You will play a pivotal role in creating and curating engaging content, monitoring online conversations, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize social media campaigns.
Category H: DJ and MC Services
YDD is seeking a vendor(s) with experience in providing DJ and MC services to diverse populations. Tasks and services may include, but are not limited to, providing equipment, music, special effects, and MC support for special events throughout the City.
